My research project focuses on the Oak processionary moth Thaumetopoea processioneais which is an alien invasive species to the UK. It also has associated public health issues as it often forms large aggregates and produces toxic hairs which can persist in the environment. I am investigating what factors may contribute to its spread and how it can be controlled.
